Gooch and Associates brings over 14 years of surveyor and consultant experience into practice. Since 1994, Brian Gooch has been providing accreditation preparation and support services to domestic healthcare providers; initially as a surveyor for the Joint Commission and subsequently with Gooch and Associates.

Our services focus on issues that help you provide better care and services to your patients.

Domestic Services

1. Mock surveys performed only by JCAHO trained surveyors
2. Education programs on current and emerging Joint Commission issues, such as using tracer methodology in self-assessments, patient safety and medication errors
3. A Program of routine, periodic, on-site support tailored to the client to help them maintain continuous standards compliance and survey readiness
4. Support, ad hoc, with problem issues such as response to a Sentinel Event, evaluating and strengthening critical systems and processes, patient safety program development, and medical staff leadership and nursing issues
5. Support and assistance with development and implementation of a Plan of Action or Evidence of Standards Compliance (ESC) following a “difficult” survey
